Sand
Quite often when we go to the park, Little D is perfectly content to sit in the sand...and play...and dig...and scoop...and dump...and transfer things from one vehicle to another. He'll do this for a very long time. This is one of the few situations where he actually sits still for a pretty long period of time...and just plays & plays. Sometimes sands or sticks are involved...other times is it purely sand. Sometimes a shovel or "digger" is needed...other times his hands do the job. Either way, he is one happy boy in this environment. We have a sandbox at home, but somehow a sand play area the size of the whole playground is so.much.better...of course. That's fine. I'm content to sit and watch him play...and to play along too. These beautiful Fall days are perfect days to play in the sand. I love these days with our son.

i just have to say, i am still overwhelmed by his little eyebrows every time i see a picture of him! i love his little expressions!
He does look like he is having so much fun!!!!
Our girls love sand too - does D want to come over and play?
Still working those eyebrows, huh?! LOVE his expressions so much!
i so agree...these are perfect days to be out playing in the sand. D is so cute with all his trucks!
love it! Wasn't the second one taken when that little girl was "wailing"?
It's amazing how long they will sit still for sand and dirt and diggers! Max is the same way. Wish we lived closer and could meet at the local sand box. I think M and D would get along perfectly. And they'd have matching shirts! Though D would definitely win in the eyebrow department :)
i love his look of serious concentration!
Little D's expressions crack me up. We don't spend too much time in the sandbox but maybe D can show him the ropes!
That looks like the perfect outting for a little boy. Trucks, sand and the park :)
Spencer and I have looked at these SO. MANY. TIMES. the past few days. We love this series of photos!
Spencer left his mixer at one of our local playgrounds, he's very relieved that D found it for him. ;-)
Noah is constantly on the go too, and I agree that it is so nice when they really enjoy playing with something and just sit still for awhile! :)
Oh, Little D, you are so cute. Sand is one of the few things that Xavier will sit forever and play with.
